The essence of cast iron pipe is ductile iron pipe, which is called this because it has the nature of iron and the performance of steel. The graphite in ductile iron pipe exists in spherical form, and the size of graphite is generally 6-7. The quality requires that the spheroidization level of cast iron pipe be controlled to level 1-3, and the spheroidization rate is ≥80%, so the mechanical properties of the material itself are well improved, with the nature of iron and the performance of steel. After annealing, the metallographic structure of ductile iron pipe is ferrite plus a small amount of pearlite, and the mechanical properties are good, so it is also called cast iron pipe.
