ASTM A36 belongs to general low carbon steel, steel product with low carbon content less than 0.3%, it is considerably soft for easy forming, machining, welding. Heat treatment has less effect on ASTM A36 steel material. It contains some other elements including alloy element: manganese, sulfur, phosphorus and silicon.
