Short Description:

Galvanized coil, A thin steel plate is immersed in a plating tank containing molten zinc so that a layer of zinc adheres to its surface. It is mainly produced by the continuous galvanizing process, that is, the rolled steel plate is continuously immersed in a plating tank containing molten zinc to make galvanized steel plate. Galvanized coils can be divided into hot-rolled galvanized coils and cold-rolled hot-rolled galvanized coils, which are mainly used in construction, household appliances, automobiles, containers, transportation and household industries. The demand of construction industry and light industry is the main market of galvanized coil, which accounts for about 30% of the demand of galvanized sheet.

Galvanized Steel Coil Processing Technology

(1) Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet. A thin steel plate is immersed in a plating tank containing molten zinc so that a layer of zinc adheres to its surface. It is mainly produced by the continuous galvanizing process, that is, the rolled steel plate is continuously immersed in a plating tank containing molten zinc to make galvanized steel plate.

(2) Alloyed galvanized steel sheet. This kind of steel plate is also made by the hot dip method, but it is heated to about 500°C immediately after coming out of the tank to form an alloy film of zinc and iron. This galvanized plate has good adhesion and weldability.

(3) Electro-galvanized steel plate. This kind of galvanized steel sheet manufactured by electroplating method has good processability. However, the coating is thin and its corrosion resistance is not as good as that of hot-dip galvanized sheets;

(4) Single-sided galvanized steel plate and double-sided galvanized steel plate. Single-sided galvanized steel sheet is a product that is galvanized on only one side. In terms of welding, painting, anti-rust treatment, processing, etc., it has better adaptability than double-sided galvanized sheets. In order to overcome the shortcomings of one side not being coated with zinc, there is another type of galvanized sheet that is coated with a thin layer of zinc on the other side, that is, double-sided galvanized sheet;

(5) Alloy and composite galvanized steel sheets. It is made of zinc and other metals such as lead, zinc alloy or even composite plated steel plate.

Galvanized Steel Coil Features

1. Corrosion Resistance: Galvanizing is an economical and effective rust prevention method that is often used. About half of the world's zinc production is used for this process. Zinc not only forms a dense protective layer on steel surface, but also has cathodic protection effect. When the zinc coating is damaged, it can still prevent the corrosion of iron based materials through cathodic protection.

2. Good Cold Bending and Welding Performance: low carbon steel is mainly used, which requires good cold bending, welding performance and certain stamping performance

3. Reflectivity: high reflectivity, making it a thermal barrier
